If you look through the rest of my site, you'll see that my style has evolved a bit over the past six months (largely driven by the switch from digital to film)... but I couldn't keep from digging up this wedding from my mini-"vault"! The Cottage Rental Agency in Seaside, FL is so gorgeous, and this couple is super sweet, so we're throwing back to October 2, 2015.
After moving to Florida, Steven and I quickly discovered 30A - a popular county highway in Santa Rosa Beach that skirts the gulf coast for about 30 miles. It is well known as a quaint, picturesque area on the Emerald Coast. Along that stretch of road you'll find the Cottage Rental Agency (CRA), easily identified by the adorable (and occasionally colorful) cottages, beach cruiser bikes (with cute baskets), pavilions lining the beach, and white picket fences... basically a quintessential coastal town! Once Lacher's Lens Photography was established, I knew CRA was an ideal wedding venue I wanted to photograph!
So, you can imagine my excitement when Mary-Katherine Owen (the super talented special events manager/day of coordinator at CRA) called to ask if I could shoot this wedding!! ... Ummmmm... does a one legged duck swim in circles?!?! Yes, YES, a million times YES!! And then to find out this sweet couple from Nashville were the bride and groom... all was well in my little photography world. :)
Everything about wedding day and the ceremony was sweet, intimate, and relaxing. The daughters of close family friends preceded Stefanie as she arrived at Seaside Pavillion (the ceremony location). As part of the ceremony, two of them performed musical pieces (short clip in the video below) which made the event that much more personalized. The morning had been dreary, but the sun and a rainbow peaked out half way through the ceremony!!!
For the post ceremony celebration, the group headed back to The Station (one of CRA's gorgeous cottages) for a BBQ, corn hole, and good company!!!
