I've become completely obsessed with family photography sessions with kids... especially when they include a baby!!
My son was born four years ago, and everyday I look at him, and ask myself, "where has time gone?" He is FOUR!! At the point when he was a baby, I felt as though I had all the time in the world to cherish those amazing moments.... but now four years later, there are so many sweet details I wish I could recall with better detail: the way he used to bite on the edge of his crib while he waited for me to come get him... at the time it frustrated me that he was ruining the furniture, but now I rub my fingers along those tiny teeth marks and remember his silly habits; the way he called me 'Bobby' until he could pronounce his M's; how he'd 'honk' my nose to wake me up in the morning... not the nicest way to be woken, but he loved it, and now I miss it; his sticks... everywhere we'd go, he'd need to find a stick... and he'd carry it until he found a bigger one to replace it.
So capturing the personalities of our little ones really resonates with my heart. They grow much faster than we realize, and one day these images will mean so much more to their families. As they grow, lets be sure to take tons of photos/videos, write the details down, and turn off our distractions.... lets be present in their growth, active in their development, and appreciate the amazing.
